Well, they’re clearing out some salary, a couple of outfield roster spots, and we assume just paying Homer Bailey to go away.
That opens up a lot of other possibilities for the Dodgers. Could it be trying to sign Bryce Harper? Swinging a deal for Corey Kluber, or just saving some money and opening a starting spot for Alex Verdugo?
Or some combination of any of the above, or something that hasn’t been rumored yet.

On a personal level, as much as I will miss Puig and how he makes the stodgy old-fashioned baseball people crazy, I’m fascinated by how he’s going to play in Cincinnati. I lived in Ohio for a long time, Cincy isn’t exactly known for it’s fun, progressive attitudes. Should be interesting to see how the city, and the team, embraces Puig.
