Once the media, fans, some players, and the state’s governor all criticize you, it’s time to maybe think you made a wrong choice. Thankfully, it didn’t take long for Maryland to come to that conclusion. Let’s hope they can move forward as an example of a program taking the health of it’s athletes seriously. That’s the only good that can come out of this tragedy.
Say what you will about whether the fault lies with Durkin or with the trainers and strength coach, a kid died on his watch as head coach. That’s not in anyway acceptable.
