It’s stories like this one that make it hard to defend athletes. I have no idea what actually happened in this case, but I’m betting neither do the rest of the players, they are choosing sides in a sexual assault case, and if the facts bear out that the suspended players are guilty of sexual assault, I hope Minnesota will remember what these players have done.
And if the facts bear out the they were innocent, I’ll applaud what they did, but it is their reputation at risk, not mine.
Update- As of this morning, the team has backpedaled and agreed to end their boycott. Apparently after being shown the full report, the rest of the team figured out they might be in the wrong side here.
