Look, this makes no sense. I understand that the NFL has a uniform policy, but really, they make an exception for October so that every team can wear pink, and raise money for breast cancer, although how much of the money actually goes to charity is questionable. What Heyward and Williams are doing is actually extending that message, but the NFL won’t allow it, because you know, rules, or something.
So, rather than showing the league cares about cancer, they’ve shown that they only truly care about their own merchandising campaign. Nice.
