I’ve noticed a trend in these new NHL team presidents. Owners are listening to the fans more, esp with buffalo and Vancouver where season ticket sales were down, and bringing in a popular player to get the interest back. Buffalo did it with lafontaine, Vancouver with linden and now Toronto with shanahan.
Yeah well who was the first team to take a player straight into being a GM? How well has that worked out for the Islanders? Between Snow and Lafontaine already being out of Buffalo, I’m not sure why they are going this route.
