I’ve been looking at the quotes from Cleveland Browns sources on the rationale behind trading the #3 overall pick from last year’s draft, and I just don’t get it. Sure, maybe he isn’t the perfect fit for what you’re trying to do long term, but to deal him away two games into the season, and bring in Willis McGahee to replace him for the remainder of this season smacks of a team trying to bottom out for the first pick in the draft to me.
Of course, this being Cleveland, they probably will end up picking the year that Jacksonville goes 0-16 to try and bottom out and wind up losing that race to the bottom too.
