Not Quite Qualified

Coming into the latest round of World Cup qualifying, the US Men’s National Team seemed to be in prime position. Unfortunately, they were playing a highly motivated Costa Rica team, still smarting from the infamous snow game in Colorado earlier this year, and playing at home, where the US has struggled.

After a 3-1 loss they now face a suddenly desperate Mexico team, coming off a shocking loss at home to Honduras. Plus, they will be without a few key pieces thanks to yellow card suspensions and an injury to Michael Bradley.

At least they will be facing Mexico in Columbus, a place that has been a nightmare for Mexico, but they will surely bring everything they have on Tuesday. Should make for a thrilling game.
